Lectures on Negotiation Processes and Proficiency and Inclusive Participation in Promoting Peace and Security
On December 1-2, 2021, the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat organized an event titled “Negotiation Processes and Proficiency and Inclusive Participation in Promoting Peace and Security” within the framework of the Centre’s project “Promoting OSCE early warning instruments within the context of the permanent neutrality policy of Turkmenistan” under “The plan of projects to be implemented by the Government of Turkmenistan together with OSCE Centre in Ashgabat in 2021”. Lectures were held for the students and teaching staff of the Institute of International Relations and the International University for the Humanities and Development. Taking into account the COVID 19 preventive measures, 20 nominated participants from each higher education institution attended the lectures online, held in the Russian and English languages.
The lectures supported Turkmenistan’s initiative and contributed to the agenda of activities in 2021 in the International Year of Peace and Trust announced by the UNGA.
Diplomats Mr.Andrei Muntean from Moldova, Ambassador Tracey Jacobson from USA and Ambassador Natalya Drozd from the Republic of Belarus were invited by the centre to deliver lectures according to the proposed time.
The lecture on the topic “Main International Negotiation Schools: Similarities, Differences and Real Practice Examples” was held on December 1-2. A series of lectures is to be continued.
