RESULTS OF EUROPEAN UNION’S NEW PROJECT TO BOOST SUSTAINABLE ENERGY IN CENTRAL ASIA
From April 1 to May 19, 2023, The European Union has launched a regional competition of short videos about Reels4SustainableEnergy among university students, young scientists and specialists in engineering, energy, ecology and climate studies from Central Asian countries. The competition was held by the project "Sustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia" (SECCA) under the slogan "Accelerating the transition to clean energy — to reduce bills and improve skills". Reels4SustainableEnergy within the framework of the Days of Sustainable Energy of the EU — Central Asia is aimed at promoting the environmental and economic benefits of energy conservation, raising public awareness of the need to develop renewable energy sources. Representatives of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in the competition. According to the results of the competition, 6 winners were selected. Among the winners, Rahmangylych Annageldiyev, the 3rd-year student of the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan won the 1st place. Also, 4 representatives of Kazakhstan and 1 representative of Kyrgyzstan won prizes in this competition. The 6 winners of the competition will have the opportunity to go to Europe to study the European experience in the field of renewable energy and the transition to sustainable energy.
