Online training seminars for young diplomats
Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) organized online training seminars for young career diplomats of Central Asia and Afghanistan, which took place from 14 to 16 July 2021. The events were organized in accordance with the UNRCCA Action Program for 2021-2025, which, as one of the main priorities of the Center, defines promoting preventive diplomacy in government-to-government relations countries of Central Asia and capacity building of civil servants. The seminar was attended by career diplomats under the age of 30, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Central Asian countries, as well as student youth. The topic of the training seminar held in the online format is "Tools of preventive diplomacy in the system of international relations". During the event, the participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of tools and methods of preventive diplomacy, and in particular:
- about the causes of conflicts, tools and methods of preventive settlement and confidence-building measures between the parties;
- on the preventive activities of the UN used in peacekeeping operations and peacebuilding;
- on the UN global agendas "Women, Peace and Security" (GA Resolution UN 1325), “Youth, Peace and Security” (UN GA Resolution 2250) and activities of the UN Peacebuilding Fund.
