Conference Dedicated to the Circular Economy
On December 26, 2024, a conference titled “The Importance of the Universal Framework Program for Transition to a Circular Economy” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The conference was led by Gyzylgul Gurbanmuhamedova, a lecturer at the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute, and attended by members of the “Young Economists” scientific club of this higher educational institution.
As reminder, during the World Government Summit held in February 2024, among the proposals presented by the Turkmen delegation wad suggestion to develop a Universal Framework Program for transitioning to circular economy, focusing on Sustainable Development Goals through 2030.
The work aimed at ensuring sustainable economic development in our country is fully in line with the requirements of a zero-waste economy. More advanced technologies from an ecological perspective are being introduced in all sectors of the economy. Special attention is being to developing innovative technologies related to the use of renewable energy sources and reducing waste.
At the end of the conference, the participants asked several questions, exchanging their views with each other.
