Graduates consolidated their theoretical knowledge in practice
On March 24-25, 2026, final-year students from the Faculty of International Law at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan participated in training sessions at the Forensic Science Department of the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Turkmenistan. The training sessions were aimed at strengthening the theoretical knowledge of future specialists in international law through practical training.
During practical training in the subjects of “Criminal Procedure” and “Criminology”, the Institute’s students, majoring in “International Law” consolidated their knowledge and gained experience in the following
areas: crime scene and trace examination; fingerprinting, or methods for identifying handprints and footprints; conducting a personal search of a suspect and the method of comparative examination during a body examination; and applying scientifically based methods for identifying, recording, and seizing physical evidence.
Furthermore, a forensics specialist provided a detailed explanation of the operating principles of new technologies equipped with modern instruments, innovative methods for removing fingerprints from paper and money, as well as information on obtaining documents necessary for a case, giving testimony, and comparing objects to be identified.
During the training session, the students were deeply impressed by the explanations on implementing a faster and more accurate process for the rapid detection of other evidence identified using chemicals and radiation.
Creating such excellent opportunities for young people and future specialists-the pearls of our country’s treasure trove-to become highly educated and accomplished professionals in their chosen professions is a clear demonstration of the successful implementation of our youth policy.
