ROLE OF TRANSPORT DIPLOMACY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TURKMENISTAN’S ECONOMY
On March 24, 2022, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan conducted an elective course on transport diplomacy at the Educational Center for the Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The course was taught by Ogulgurban Sapargeldiyevna Ezimova, Head of the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Senior Lecturer, and Ph.D. In her speech, the scientist said that various aspects of economic diplomacy have now been formed and scientifically substantiated.
Transport diplomacy is an important part of economic diplomacy and is successfully developing in our country. In his historic address on March 19, 2022, the President of Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan Serdar Gurbanguliyevich Berdimuhammedov said, “In this regard, our country is at the heart of the Great Silk Road. Therefore, we will take full advantage of this geographical location and provide ample opportunities.”
The role of transport diplomacy in world politics and international relations is growing and improving. The development and diversification of transport through the use of effective diplomacy tools, the development of international cooperation in the geopolitical complex and the developed transport complex and their use in achieving the further effectiveness of the foreign policy of our state is one of Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policies.
The course was attended by the teaching staff and students of the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan.
