THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF TURKMENISTAN’S ENERGY STRATEGY ORIENTED TOWARD EUROPE
On December 2, 2025, a lecture titled “The Main Directions of Turkmenistan’s Energy Strategy Oriented Toward Europe” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The lecture was delivered by Hemra Arazmyradov, a lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the session, the lecturer explained Turkmenistan’s long-term energy policy aimed at strengthening cooperation with European countries, ensuring reliable energy supplies, and supporting mutually beneficial partnerships in the global energy market.
It was emphasized that Turkmenistan’s Europe-focused energy strategy is built upon several key priorities, including diversifying export routes, enhancing the legal and economic framework for energy cooperation, and promoting environmentally sustainable energy solutions. The lecturer also highlighted Turkmenistan’s consistent efforts to contribute to regional and global energy security, as well as its initiatives to deepen dialogue with European institutions and energy companies.
The lecture was concluded with an active discussion. Students asked questions regarding Turkmenistan’s achievements in expanding international energy corridors, its role in European energy security, and the country’s strategic vision for future cooperation. The audience received clear, detailed, and informative answers, and participants expressed their gratitude for the insightful and well-structured presentation.
