Meetings with School Students
May 18 annually marks the Constitution Day and the National Flag Day of Turkmenistan. This year the country celebrates the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, an important event for the state. On this occasion, different activities are held throughout the country. In addition, the Club of the Young Lawyers of the Department of International Law and Comparative Jurisprudence organized meetings with the students of the schools no. 21, 76 and 68 located in Ashgabat city within the framework of the adopted program “The 30 Years to the Constitution of Turkmenistan: Towards a Brighter Future for a New Historical Era”.
During the meetings, the members of the Club, students majoring in international law at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, made presentations and showed videos related to the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the constitutions of foreign countries. At the end of the meeting, the participants exchanged with their questions. The event was held in English and Russian.
Holding such activities is important to raise the awareness of schoolchildren about the history and features of the Constitution of the country.
