A conference was held on the occasion of Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the CIS countries
On February 19, 2026, the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized an advocacy event on the occasion of Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. The purpose of the conference was to widely promote the proposals of our esteemed President among young diplomats, which align with long-term goals in the international political arena, and to increase their knowledge regarding the peace-loving policy pursued by our country.
The head of the Department of Social Sciences, senior lecturer and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences O.Ezimova, and department lecturer G.Amanberdiyeva spoke at the event.
The speakers gave detailed accounts of the diplomatic relations our country maintains with the CIS states and the positive initiatives of global significance put forward during the year "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses." At the end of the advocacy event, students addressed the teachers with questions of interest. Organizing such advocacy events is significant in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism.
