Roundtable dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence
On September 22, 2021, a round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The round table was chaired by Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev, rector of the institute, Ph.D. in historical sciences. The event was attended by Mr. William Litt, Head of the Military-Political Division of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, Yagmyr Nuriyev, Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, Nury Amanmyradov, Counselor of the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Dmitry Slapachenko, UN Resident Representative in Turkmenistan.
The meeting was held in the Turkmen and Russian languages. The speakers spoke about the progressive development of Turkmenistan over 30 years of independence and close cooperation with authoritative international organizations. It was also noted that the domestic and foreign policies pursued by the President received wide support from the countries of the world. At the end of the meeting, the participants wished the President of Turkmenistan success in his activities for the benefit of strengthening the international prestige of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan. They also warmly congratulated the Turkmen people on a significant date – the 30th anniversary of the sacred Independence of Turkmenistan.
