The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan invites to participate in the International Scientific-Practical Conference titled “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for the Sake of Peace
The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan invites to participate in the International Scientific-Practical Conference titled “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for the Sake of Peace, Safety, and Sustainable Development” which is held in a hybrid format on May 12-13, 2026.
Working languages of the conference: Turkmen, English, and Russian.
Thematic areas of the scientific conference:
Section I: International Law and the Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
Section II: Economic Diplomacy: an Effective Instrument of Cooperation for the Attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Section III: Cultural Diplomacy: National and Universal Principles of Humanitarian Relations.
Section IV: Global Experience in the Training of International Relations Specialists: Science, Education, and Academic Methodology.
Relevant documents, abstracts of presentations, and annotations for participation in the scientific conference are accepted until April 16, 2026.
Works that do not comply with the regulations or are submitted after the established deadline will not be considered.
Foreign participants may also participate in the conference remotely (distantly) through the digital network.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE:
1. Each applicant may submit only one presentation, and the number of authors shall not exceed two.
2. The content of the work shall possess an independent research character and be consistent with its title. The relevance of the topic, the degree of prior study, the scholarly novelty, and the results of the conducted research shall be presented on a scientific basis.
3. For participation, a short abstract and annotations are prepared. The abstract shall be in one of the working languages of the conference, while the annotations are in the other two languages.
4. Local participants shall have their English and Russian translations of the annotations certified by the relevant departments of higher education institutions or translation agencies.
5. For foreign participants, the Organizing Committee handles the translation of the annotations into Turkmen and Russian.
6. For local participants, the abstract and annotations are reviewed at the author’s place of employment and then sent to the Organizing Committee. Electronic versions of the abstract and annotations are attached to the letter.
7. Authors bear personal responsibility for the content of the submitted documents.
8. A registration form is completed to participate in the conference (Standard font: Times New Roman, 12 pt).
9. Foreign participants send their registration form, relevant documents, a summary of their scientific work (abstract), annotations, and the full report in electronic format to the following email address:

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ABSTRACTS OF THE PRESENTATIONS:
1. The length of the abstract shall not exceed 1–1.5 pages of A4 format; the length of each annotation (in English and Russian) shall be up to 0.5 pages, and keywords shall consist of 5–8 words.
2. Page margins: top and bottom – 2.0 cm, left side – 2.5 cm, right side – 1.5 cm; orientation – “portrait” (book style); font – Times New Roman, size – 14 pt, line spacing – 1.0.
3. The abstract and annotations are saved in a single file and formatted as follows:
* The titles of the abstract and annotations are written in capital letters, 16-point bold font, and centered on the line;
* At the beginning of the text, the author's first and last name is written in 14-point bold lowercase letters (sentence case), aligned to the right margin of the page; the name of the country is indicated in parentheses;
* If the presentation has two authors, the first and last name of the primary speaker (the one presenting) is indicated first;
* One line is skipped before writing the text of the abstract;
* The texts of the abstract and annotations are justified (aligned to the full width of the line);
* References to literary sources are indicated within the text of the abstract using numbers in square brackets: [1; p.5], [2], [3-5], etc. The list of literatures shall be placed at the end of the article, preceded by the heading “LITERATURE”;
* The pages of the abstract and annotations are not numbered.
Submissions that do not comply with the stated requirements are not considered. A sample of the conference presentation text is provided in APPENDIX 2.
Corrections and additions submitted after the work has been turned in are not accepted.
According to the decision of the Organizing Committee, a presentation that does not comply with the requirements shall not be accepted for the scientific conference.
Submitted documents are not returned.
The electronic version of the speech submitted to the conference shall be named using the speaker’s surname, first name, patronymic, and the abbreviation “tez”. For example, if the speaker is Ata Atayev, the file name shall be “Atayev A. tez”.
Registration forms are filled out by all authors of the report and placed in a single file. The registration form of the primary speaker are placed first, followed by the co-author’s form. For registration data, the file name includes the author's last name, first name, patronymic, and the letters “reg”. For example, “Atayev A. reg”. The application form is provided in Appendix 1.
