Positive results and new trends of Turkmenistan's foreign policy
On February 9, our esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a video conference on the results of the work carried out in the foreign policy of the country in 2020. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov and his deputies, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Mushshikov, Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, as well as rectors of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the University for Humanities and Development.
The meeting focused on the work done in the field of foreign policy of the country, the achievements in this area, the set tasks and a number of other issues.
Having listened the reports, our national Leader gave a number of suggestions and recommendations to the relevant authorities on further strengthening the friendly cooperation of our state with major international organizations and foreign countries. During the working meeting, our esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave number of instructions to the rectors of relevant higher educational establishments to work on the foreign policy of our state, which is achieving great success on the way of peace and trust, on the important areas of Turkmen diplomacy and to improve the work on preparing young professionals in this field, as well as to open new professions.
During the meeting, in order to encourage diplomats who have worked diligently in this field, our Hero Arkadag signed the Decree on the creation of the distinguished title "Master Diplomat of Turkmenistan". This good news has been a great joy and pride for Turkmen diplomats and all those working in this field.
At the end of the meeting, our Head of state noted that in the year "Turkmenistan is the Homeland of Peace and Trust" special attention should be paid to the preparations for international conferences, exhibitions and events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of our Motherland.
Concluding the video conference, our esteemed President wished the participants good health, family well-being and every success in their work for the development of our state.
