An online roundtable meeting dedicated to the importance of the election of Turkmenistan to the UN Commission
On April 23, 2021, an online roundtable meeting on the importance of Turkmenistan's election to the post of Vice-Chairman of the UN Economic Commission for Europe for the period 2021-2023 was held. The meeting was attended by teaching staff and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldi Kakayev, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, as well as the Deputy of the National Council of Turkmenistan, including the members of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan.
In the course of the meeting speakers highlighted important issues such as historical experience of cooperation of Turkmenistan with United Nations, scaled work carried out within the framework of its membership to over 10 UN structures, parliamentary collaboration, the policy aimed at forming ecological and sustainable environment, including activation of international relations in transport sector and growing importance of Turkmenistan in UN activities.
During the roundtable meeting, the great work being done in our country under the wise leadership of our highly esteemed President have been emphasized by vivid examples.
