Competition among Student of Higher Educational Institutions was held
On February 26, 2025, on the occasion of Turkmenistan's accession to the
United Nations, a competition was held among students of higher educational
institutions of the country (Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after
Magtymguly, University of International Humanitarian Sciences and Development,
Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan) organized by the
Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Turkmenistan. The competition was organized by the "Young Lawyers" scientific
organization of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law studies
of the Institute's Faculty of International Law and the "Young Scientists" Council
of the institute.
As you know, it has been 79 years since the establishment of the United Nations.
As a neutral state twice recognized by this prestigious organization, Turkmenistan
conducts an active policy in the international space and maintains effective
relations with the UN and its specialized agencies for many years. Accordingly,
this highly organized competition is aimed at increasing the knowledge of the
United Nations Organization and its main areas of work, which plays a key role in
coordinating relations between all subjects of international law in international
relations, ensuring global peace and security.
The competition consists of three Rounds: in Round1, they answered questions
related to the United Nations. In the 2nd round, they spoke on behalf of their
country at a simulated session of the United Nations General Assembly. In the 3rd
round, they competed in answering questions related to memorizing the flags of the
countries of the world.
Based on the results of the competition, they won Grand Prize of the Institute of
International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan,
the First place of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the 2nd
place of the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan,
and 3rd place of the University of International Humanitarian Sciences and
Development. Certificates and souvenirs were awarded to the winning teams.
