AN IMPRESSIVE MEETING AT THE EMBASSY OF TURKMENISTAN IN THE KINGDOM OF BELGIUM
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium (Brussels) also serves as the Representation of Turkmenistan to the European Union. From April 14 to 16, 2026, a special meeting was organized at the Embassy for members of the Turkmen delegation participating in a training program focused on the European Union and its cooperation with Central Asia in the Belgian cities of Brussels and Bruges.
This meeting with Sapar Palvanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Belgium, provided an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the practical aspects of Turkmenistan's diplomatic activities in the European direction. During the meeting, the Ambassador shared detailed information about his professional experience, the current state of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Belgium, and multilateral cooperation with European Union institutions. Special attention was given to the promotion of the President’s peaceful initiatives on the international stage, including within the UN framework. Participants discussed activities held in the European region under the motto of the year: “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Purposeful Winged Horses”. The meeting emphasized the significance of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent Neutrality in ensuring regional and international stability. Diplomats provided specific examples of the practical implementation of the “Dialogue – Guarantee of Peace” doctrine, championed by Turkmenistan within international organizations and the EU.
In conclusion, the experienced diplomats of the Embassy shared valuable advice and recommendations with the young specialists participating in the training program to guide them in their future diplomatic careers.
