A MEETING DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE TEACHING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
On January 27, 2025, a meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with representatives of the British Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). The meeting was attended by VSO Global Technical Lead Purna Kumar Shrestha and Global Practice Lead Joyce Laker.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Scientific work of the institute, Begench Matliev, the Acting Dean of the Faculty of International relations, Merdan Berdinyyazov, as well as the acting Head of the Department of World languages, Maya Atajanova.
At the meeting, the guests were familiarized with the structure and activities of the institute, who made their proposals on improving the teaching of English. The importance of strengthening academic ties between educational institutions in Great Britain and Turkmenistan was emphasized.
The parties noted the importance of such meetings for strengthening international cooperation and improving the language training of students, which is an important element in the training of specialists in the field of international relations.
