Turkmenistan - UN cooperation
Turkmenistan joins the United Nations Resettlement Program (UN-Habitat Group of Friends). The group is led by Poland and Zimbabwe. It was established in June 2022 as a mediator between the General Assembly and the UN Secretariat in New York on urbanization issues.
Our country's membership in this group will create additional opportunities in several areas. That is, to carry out international activities aimed at ensuring the quality of housing and sustainable development of settlements, to improve state management in the urban economy, to strengthen established cooperation, to implement global programs and strategies for the development of high-tech, ecologically clean, socially adaptive cities.
