An impressive seminar in “Avaza” National Tourist Zone
In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State in the independent, permanent neutral Turkmenistan great attention is paid to the development of the women’s movement. Being one of the largest public organizations of the country, whose ranks unite thousands of the most active participants in the grandiose achievements of the present time, the Women’s Union acts as an authoritative force in the implementation of creative transformations initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag and now successfully implemented by the esteemed President of Turkmenistan.
On February 12-16, 2024, in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone was held a training seminar entitled “Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyzyň ak ýollarynda türkmen zenanlarynyň maksatly işleri rowaçlanýar” organized by the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan. As part of a five-day seminar in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone and Turkmenbashy city, a number of events were organized dedicated to the significance of the first book of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan “Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy”, the motto of 2024 “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi”, as well as the role of the country’s women in the social, economic and cultural development of Turkmenistan. The lecturer of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Gulalek Chopanova, as well as women from different spheres of our country took part in this training seminar.
The training seminar brought together activists of the Women’s Union on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea. Some activities such as boat trips on the high-speed passenger ship “Rowaç” along the route Turkmenbashy – Gyzylsuv Island and back, ceremonial conferences organized at the Cultural and Sports Complex of the Turkmenbashy Oil processing complex of the “Turkmennebit” State Concern and in the conference hall of the “Seyrana” Hotel, cultural events, round table discussions in the foyer of the “Hazar” Hotel, as well as music evenings, exhibitions of folk crafts at the “Dayanch” Health Center of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan were left unforgettable impression on all participants.
Today our state provides women with all kinds of benefits and creates conditions for their worthy life and creative work, on ensuring gender equality at the legislative level. Nowadays the Turkmen women work in government structures like legislative, executive authorities, and in entrepreneurship, also they participate in foreign policy activities, and make a significant contribution to the implementation of ambitious programs aimed at bringing our native Fatherland in a number of developed countries of the world. At the same time, it should be noted that the country is carrying out comprehensive work to comply with their rights and interests, family support, protection of motherhood and childhood. The practical steps taken in this direction are highly assessed by the international community.
Another confirmation of this was the presentation to the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan on November 29, 2023 within the framework of the 22nd Ministerial Conference CAREC medal and corresponding Certificate for Promoting Gender Equality of the Program Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) of the Asian Development Bank, which is a multi-year partner of our country.
It should be noted that the speakers’ reports were of great importance and the issues of this seminar were considered to be discussed thoroughly on provision and upcoming work and the work, done during the year 2023, the achievements and large-scale programs implemented by the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan.
At present, under the direction of the Esteemed President, the united people of our country live, enjoying the benefits of a happy life, tirelessly working, and successfully solving the tasks set to convey all sectors of the national economy. It further strengthens the faith of compatriots to the bright future.
We can proudly say that this seminar is considered to have a significant meaning for the women in all spheres of the development of our country.
