Excursion to the National Museum of Turkmen Carpets
On October 13, 2022, an excursion to the National Museum of Turkmen Carpets was organized with the participation of female students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the excursion, students learned interesting information about the history of weaving ancient Turkmen carpets and the distinctive features of carpets. This museum has exhibits of about 2000 carpets based on their fineness and weaving characteristics. Among those carpets, one can see the carpet woven in 2001 and entered the Guinness Book of Records in 2003. In addition, the museum also has a magnificent carpet depicting various sports in the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in the country.
Excursions, exhibitions and events, organized in the country for the purpose of preserving national values created by our people over the millennia and passing them on to our future generations, instilling love for our national heritage, are of great importance.
