Turkmen – Kyrgyz cooperation
On October 30, 2023 a round table discussion dedicated to the Turkmen – Kyrgyz cooperation was held between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K.Dikambaev in Bishkek city in the Diplomatic Academy building.
This round table discussion was organized within the framework of the Memorandum ‘’Mutual Understanding and Cooperation’’ signed on November 11, 2014 between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K.Dikambaev. This document provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experience between the higher educational institutions, which have been training specialists in the field of foreign policy, international relations and diplomacy for many years.
The meeting was attended by B.Matliev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, O.Muhammetberdiev, professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy and M.Bagyrova, 5th year student of the Faculty of International Relations and H.Dovletnazarova, 5th year student of the Faculty of International Law who are undergoing an internship at the Embassy of Turkmenistan (Bishkek) in the Kyrgyz Republic as well as teachers and students of the Diplomatic Academy named after K.Dikambaev.
During the visit of the Turkmen delegation, led by B.Matliev Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the issues of expanding of mutual cooperation and exchange of experience for further development of science and education were discussed with Akylbek Kylychev, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K.Dikambaev as well as both parties also exchanged views on the organization of joint research projects and events.
At the end of the round table discussion, many interesting and significant questions were exchanged and a video about the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was shown to the participants of this meeting.
