The first course of the new cycle
On March 2, 2023, a new cycle of training courses on Water Diplomacy began at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized by the Training Center on Important Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan. The first course of the cycle was devoted to the topic “The role of water diplomacy in Central Asia”. The course was conducted by Ayjan Omarova, a lecturer of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law of the Institute.
During the course, solving water problems on an integrated basis and taking into account the interests of all Central Asian states, as well as the priorities of the water strategy, the availability of water resources, its effective management, the development of the state, the economy, the quality of people’s life and well-being was discussed in detail.
Water is a common value of Turkmenistan and the peoples of the world. It is important to note that access to clean drinking water under fair conditions is a fundamental right of every human being.
For the students of our institute who attended the first training course of the new cycle, this course was very effective and they received comprehensive answers to their questions.
