A PRACTICAL SESSION ON WATER DIPLOMACY WAS HELD
On February 27, 2026, a practical session on «Water Diplomacy: A Key Area of Turkmen Diplomacy» was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in the training center for priority areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan. The practical session was led by Merjen Gurbannazarova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of International Law and Comparative Law studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the session, the lecturer shared information about the important priorities of the Policy of the President of Turkmenistan, namely environmental protection, respect for nature, preserving its wealth for future generations, rational use of land and water resources, to create favorable living conditions for the Turkmen people, uniting the efforts of the international community in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. She also gave assignments on preparing presentations and information for future sessions.
This practical session on Water Diplomacy proved its effectiveness for the students. Such courses help students significantly expand their knowledge on Water Diplomacy.
