SEMINAR ON WATER DIPLOMACY WAS HELD
On March 13, 2025, the Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of
Turkmenistan hosted a seminar on Water Diplomacy. The seminar was conducted
by A.Seidibayev a deputy of the Mejlis, a member of the Committee of the Mejlis
of Turkmenistan on Environmental Protection, the use of Natural Resources and
the Agro-Industrial Complex, as well as a candidate of agricultural sciences.
The first-year students from all specialties of the Institute of International
Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan attended to the
seminar.
During the seminar, the Deputy of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan spoke in detail
about the ongoing strengthen the legal framework for combating water shortages in
the country, strengthening parliamentary cooperation in ensuring reliable water
supply, as well as the need for international collaboration to promote global water
security and well-being. Additionally he discussed how, under the wise leadership
of the Esteemed President, national environmental legislation has been
continuously improved in alignment with international environmental standards
and environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, prevention of
natural disasters, ensuring the environmental cleanliness of food and air-pressing
issues in today’s world.
At the end of the seminar, the students discussed with the specialist about the
current issues.
