IF THE APPRENTICE DOES NOT SURPASS THE TEACHER, THEN ART WILL DISAPPEAR
On March 31, 2022, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held a competition on a stage of institute named “If the apprentice does not surpass the teacher, then art will disappear” among students of higher education institutions of the country, announced by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan. Preserving, propagating and passing on the national heritage and material values of the Turkmen people dating back to the millennia, which our Hero Arkadag described in a general lesson with students and alumni on September 1, 2021, to the next generation, to the advanced level of Turkmen craftsmanship, advanced art. Admonishment of jewelry, architecture, blacksmithing, carpentry, pottery, folk methods of making folk instruments, direct processing, continuation of traditions, restoration and modernization in the spirit of modernity, as well as the patriarchal traditions of youth. The students, who were selected from each faculty, were very enthusiastic about this competition, which was held with the aim of educating them in spirit, raising the artistic achievements of our forefathers, revealing the talents of young people, and further enhancing their passion for creativity, handicrafts and art attended.
They competed in areas such as jewelry and craftsmanship and ceramics, modern architectural and design layouts based on our national crafts traditions.
Batyr Esenov, a student of the Faculty of International Relations, was declared the winner of the contest. Other students who actively participated at the competition were rewarded with certificates of honor and souvenirs.
