AN EVENT DEDICATED TO THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
On June 6, 2024, an event devoted to the International Day of the Russian Language and the 225th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin. Students of the Institute took part in this event.
As we know, A.S.Pushkin is usually credited with developing Russian literature. He is seen as having originated the highly nuanced level of language which characterizes Russian literature after him and he is also credited with substantially augmenting the Russian lexicon.
During the event, M.Charyyeva, the Russian language instructor of the Department of World Languages of the Institute held a quiz called "What do you know about A.S. Pushkin?", during which questions were asked about the life and work of the great Russian poet. Then the student recited wellknown poems of poet.
At the end of the event, the students played a game called "Your Game", where they answered questions about the vocabulary and grammar of the Russian language.
The organization of such event will contribute to the popularization of the Russian language and the development of intercultural ties in the region.
The intellectual competition will be an excellent opportunity for students to test and improve their language proficiency and compete in knowledge with each other.
