THE YOUNG MESSENGER OF PEACE: ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE SEMI-FINALS ANNOUNCED
On May 20, 2022, the game 8 of the first round of the Young Intellectuals Contest organized by the School of Young Diplomats was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This time the competition was dedicated to the theme “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of the Sultanate of Delhi, Kutubsha, Sefevi and Ovshar Turkmens”. On May 19, the day before the intellectual contest, a special tour to the Independence Building was organized for its participants. During the tour, the lecturers of the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute told about the great personalities of Turkmen history. In particular, stories about Bayram Khan Turkmen, who played an important role in the history of the Great Mogul Empire, further enhanced the youth’s pride in our glorious history. Prior to the contest, students from the participating schools visited the Institute’s studio to get acquainted with its work. It should be noted that this time the Ak Oy (yurta), which was specially designed for the intellectual contest, was decorated with historical artifacts, paintings and maps related to the past of the Sultanate of Delhi, the states of the Kutubsha, Sefevi and Ovshar Turkmens.
The participants of the the game 8 of the first round of the Young Intellectuals Contest were Mengli Chariyeva, 11th grade student of the Specialized Secondary School No. 2 of Turkmenabat city of Lebap velayat, Aylar Babakuliyeva, 11th grade student of the Specialized Secondary School No. 22 of Halach district of Lebap velayat, Shasenem Meylisova, 11th grade student of the Secondary School Specialized in English and the Humanities of Mary city of Mary velayat, Musa Yusupov, 11th grade student of the Secondary School No. 5 of Murgap district of Mary velayat, Aynur Hudaybergenova, 11th grade student of the Secondary School No. 33 of Akdepe district of Dashoguz velayat, Ayshat Hanova, 11th grade student of the Secondary School No. 3 of Koneurgench city of Dashoguz velayat, Gulnar Myradova, 11th grade student of the Meretgeldi Garayev Secondary School No. of Serdar city of Balkan velayat, and Intizar Taganniyazova, 11th grade student of the Secondary School No. 22, specialized in English, physics and mathematics.
The fact that most of the schoolchildren can correctly answer most of the questions related to the history and foreign policy of the above-mentioned Turkmen states proves that they thoroughly studied the previously recommended literature. It is worth noting that in the game 8, the members of the “Council of Wise Men” are Chynar Rustemova, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Hero of Turkmenistan; Geldimyrat Muhammedov, Head of the Department of Manuscript Sources of the Turkmen History of the Magtymguly Institute of Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan (AST); and Kakabay Amanmyradov, Head of the Department of the New and Independent History of the Institute of History and Archeology of the AST.
According to the results of the highly contested competition, the winners are Shasenem Meylisova, 11th grade student of the Secondary School Specialized in English and the Humanities of Mary city of Mary velayat, and Intizar Taganniyazova, 11th grade student of the Secondary School No. 22, specialized in English, physics and mathematics. The winners of the contest and the participants were presented with valuable gifts prepared by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and other sponsors, as well as the relevant certificates of the Institute and letters of commendation.
The Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the “Turkmenhaly” State Union, the Open Joint Stock Company “Abadan Carpet” the “Aydin Gijeler” Economic Society, the “Yedi Dogan” Private Enterprise, the “Muhammet Balkan” Economic Society, the “Tibet Turkmen” Economic Association producing “Balsheker” trademark confectionery, the “Altyn” market and the Sarayan Economic Society, which offers special clothing for employees working in various field, were the sponsors of the game.
