Semi-final of the intellectual contest “Young messengers of the peace”
On June 2, 2022, the School of Young Diplomats, under the auspices of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, held the semi-final game of the contest “Young messengers of the world”.
The strongest of the last eight games of the first qualifying round reached the semi-finals of the contest. As it was stated, 64 high school students took part in the first qualifying stage of the contest, from which eight teams of eight students were formed in each game, as a result of which two contestants became winners.
It is worth noting that at this stage of the competition, all participants are the best of the best. The semi-final contestants were divided into two teams for further competition, which was held in two stages, on the first and second of June, respectively.
So, 16 contestants – the winners of the games of the first qualifying round – competed in the intellectual battle for the right to reach the final, to be held on June 21.
The semi-finals of the competition were held on the ideas and thoughts from of the book of our highly esteemed Arkadag Gubranguly Berdimuhamedov “The Meaning of My Life”, the content of which promotes advanced ideology, moral and ethical instructions and teachings.
The contestants of the first game of the semi-final gave accurate and exhaustive answers to most of the questions, which indicates that they have mastered the literature previously recommended by the organizers of the contest and are highly prepared for the game.
The jury members of the intellectual contest were Associate Professor of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Technical Sciences Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Chary Niyazov, editor of the magazine "Dünýä edebiýaty" ("World Literature") Rahmet Gylyjov and Deputy Head of the Creative Department of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan Akmyrat Rejepov.
According to the results of the intellectual game, the 10th grade student of the Specialized General Education Boarding School named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi Nurana Hudayberdiyeva, the 11th grade student of the same school Kadyrmyrat Ovezgylyjov, the 10th grade student of the Special Musical Boarding School at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory Yhlas Halliyev as well as 11th grade student of the District School of the city of Mary specialized in English and the humanities Shasenem Meylisova managed to score the most points and get ahead.
The contestants who reached the final and all participants in the semi-final game were awarded certificates and valuable prizes from the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and other sponsors of the contest.
It should be noted that the Miras TV channel jointly with the Institute’s training studio recorded the game of the semi-finals of the intellectual contest “Young Messengers of Peace”. The game will be broadcasted on the Miras TV channel in the coming days.
