Lesson at the UNRCCA on preventive diplomacy
On the March 6, 2024, at the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia was held a lesson with the participation of students of the “Preventive diplomacy” center of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The training course was conducted by Armands Pupols, Human Rights and Political Affairs Officer at the UNRCCA.
During the lesson, Armands Pupols comprehensively explained about the current global threats, the role of the United Nations in ensuring peace and cooperation and the role of preventive diplomacy in achieving stability and security in Central Asia.
In addition, A.Pupols emphasized the eminence of Turkmenistan's Neutrality in the Central Asian region and its significant role in preventive diplomacy. Also, he accentuated the importance of the meetings of the Group of Friends of Neutrality.
During the tutorial at the center, students had the opportunity to address their questions.
The United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) is a special political mission of the United Nations Organization established in 2007 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan upon the initiative of the five Central Asian states.
