ONLINE METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR WAS HELD
On May 24, 2025, an online methodological seminar was held at the Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the effective use of leading global scientific indexes — PubMed/MEDLINE and IEEE Xplore. The event was organized with the aim of enhancing information literacy and improving the research activity of faculty members.
PubMed/MEDLINE is an internationally recognized index that covers literature in the fields of medicine and the life sciences. Managed by the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), the platform provides access to millions of scientific articles, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications. The seminar introduced participants to the main search functions, filtering capabilities, and strategies for effectively using the database in both educational and research contexts.
IEEE Xplore is the digital library of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), serving as a primary source of information in the technical and engineering sciences. Participants learned how to search for and utilize scientific publications, conference proceedings, and standards in fields such as IT, electronics, robotics, telecommunications, and other related areas.
