Impact of the Pandemic on China's foreign policy
On June 12, 2021, an online conference was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the students of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan in China Parahat Durdyyev. The topic of the online conference was to China's foreign policy during the pandemic and Turkmenistan's cooperation with China during this period.
In his speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan in China Parahat Durdyyev spoke about the impact of the pandemic on China's foreign and domestic policy. He highlighted the bilateral mutual assistance between Turkmenistan and China. In his speech, Parahat Durdyyev also mentioned China's humanitarian aid to other countries. It should be noted that after the outbreak of a pandemic in the Central Asian region, China immediately sent teams of medical experts to the relevant countries, repeatedly provided medical protection equipment and organized remote exchange between specialists many times. At the beginning of the pandemic, the Embassy of the Republic of China in Turkmenistan established a contact mechanism for the prevention of the epidemic with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, within the framework of which there is a mutual exchange of information. The speaker also touched upon prevention work organized for Chinese companies in Turkmenistan.
