The Fifth Round of the Group Stage of the AFC-2 Champions League
On November 27, 2024, at the "Ashgabat" multipurpose stadium in our capital city, Turkmenistan's "Altyn Asyr" football team hosted Iraq's "Air Force" football team within the framework of the fifth round of the group stage of the AFC-2 Champions League. The match was attended by football fans, numerous guests, and students from various universities in the country, including students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
It is worth noting that the teams had previously met in the first round of the group stage. In the match held in Baghdad, "Air Force" claimed victory with a score of 2:1. After four matches, "Altyn Asyr" held fourth place in Group B, while "Air Force" stood in third place.
The match was highly engaging and competitive. Ultimately, the football team from the friendly nation secured a 2:0 victory. This match provided a valuable impetus for Turkmen players to enhance their skills and gain more experience.
