NEW EXPERIENCES AND VALUABLE LESSONS
The Turkmen delegation participated in an educational program in the United States The relations between two states in the field of political studies, in accordance with political conditions or the requirements of time, are divided into various development stages. In this regard, the scientific-educational agreements and cooperation established in the foreign policy strategy successfully implemented by our esteemed President are reaching qualitatively new levels in the current historical era. From April 24 to May 6, 2024, the Turkmen delegation participated in an educational program in the United States as part of the "Open World" program to enhance international scientific cooperation, exchange ideas, and experiences. America is a world's dream It should be emphasized from the beginning that our study trip was a trip has become a starting point that initiated new beginnings and new horizons.
America is a world's dream.
Our delegation was warmly welcomed in the American capital – Washington. On April 25, an introductory meeting organized by the Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL) was held at the United States Library of Congress. American experts spoke at the meeting and discussed the "Open World" program, its international importance, as well as international science and education, cooperation, and American culture. On the same day, a tour of the US Capitol and the White House was organized.
Along the shores of the Pacific Ocean…
It is noteworthy that the experiences and meetings held as part of our educational program in California, known as the "Golden State" or the 31st state of the United States, are significant. Approximately 75 nationalities reside in California, located on the western coast of the country. What particularly caught our attention was the official motto of each state. California's motto is "Eureka," a phrase well known to historians and mathematicians, as it refers to a famous exclamation by the ancient Greek mathematician, physicist, and inventor Archimedes. "I found it!" There is also a city in California named after this word: Eureka. Said to express joy when a difficult problem is solved, it means that this American state occupies an important place in history and in the modern world. The Turkmen delegation got acquainted with this information during a trip to San Francisco, California.
On April 28, the next destination for the Turkmen delegation was California's capital city, Sacramento, where they stayed at the residences of the members of Rotary Club. The delegation attended a conference of the Rotary Club and became acquainted with the activities of this community organization. The visit to the city of Walnut Creek was also significant.
The educational program also focused on establishing contacts with journalists. On April 29, the delegation met with the editorial staff of the "Mother Jones Magazine" in San Francisco. The chief editor, Monika Bauerlein, introduced the delegation to the editorial work of the magazine. Subsequently, the delegation had a discussion with professors and students of the School of Business and Journalism at the University of San Francisco. On April 30, the Turkmen delegation visited the Communications and Journalism Department of Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California, and had a substantive discussion with the faculty and students. Michael Levitin, the editor-in-chief of "The Inquirer," provided insights into the structure of the newspaper and the work it carries out. Later, the delegation had discussions with editors, journalists, and editorial staff of various newspapers and magazines.
The discussions with the staff of "ABC7" television station in San Francisco, the faculty and students of the Communication and Journalism Department of Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, and the editors and editorial staff of various newspapers and magazines in the libraries of Benicia and San Rafael were also fruitful. It is evident that exchanging ideas and experiences with our American counterparts and enhancing bilateral cooperation is highly beneficial.
In general, the study tour of the Turkmen delegation to the United States under the Open World program was a trip of mutual respect and opened a new page in the history of friendly cooperation.
