Young SDG ambassadors conduct a training session
The Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals opened at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on September, 2017. Resolution on the opening of the Center signed by the President of Turkmenistan. According to the document, this measure had been taken in order to ensure implementation of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and conduct of relevant scientific and methodological work. The center organizes training sessions on the goals of Sustainable Development among the population, including private structures and NGOs, and their implementation at the national, regional and global levels. The center also regularly organizes sessions with the participation of international experts in cooperation with the United Nations Mission in Turkmenistan.
In accordance with the curriculum approved for the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals among the youth on January 21, 2021, a training session with participation of Young SDG ambassadors (K. Mammadov, A. Karimov), as well as students of the specialized school No.21 has been organized by the Center. During the course, in-depth introductory speeches on Sustainable Development Goals, and their interrelationships have been made, as well as questions and answers sessions, including various games in English have been organized.
