OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE AS A SOURCE OF ETHICAL EDUCATION
On October 1, 2021, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a seminar for professors and teachers on the theme “Our National Heritage as a Source of Education.” The teaching staff of the Institute and representatives of the media attended the seminar.
The seminar was held in accordance with the paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Programme “Explaining Family Values to Students, Adhering to a Healthy Lifestyle and to the Rules of Etiquette”, which is to be implemented at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in 2021. Shikhiev J., Head of the Department of Pedagogy at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Ph.D., Chairman of the People’s Council of Berkararlyk District and Ezimova O., Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan made speeches.
The speakers noted that because of the tireless efforts of our President, our new national heritage has enriched more, and our traditions have revived, which greatly contributes to the upbringing of young people of high human qualities such as patriotism, honesty and humanity. They also noted that the books by esteemed President reflecting national peculiarities of our cultural heritage, traditions, customs, holidays make a great impact on the consciousness, feelings and beliefs of young people and instil in young people such qualities as patriotism, honesty, respect, politeness and consideration for others.
In this regard, the message of our esteemed President for the youth on September 1, 2021, as well as the creation of an education system that meets the highest world standards are of great importance. Young people are responsible for the destiny of the people and the future of our Motherland. The speakers also stressed the increasing role of science and education in the development of the country and the need to broaden knowledge and develop the skills of young people.
