A SEMINAR ON THE FOREIGN ECONOMIC SIGNIFICANCE OF THE “CENTRAL ASIA – RUSSIA” SUMMITS WAS HELD
On April 21, 2026, the Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a seminar titled “Foreign Economic Significance of the “Central Asia – Russia” Summits”.
Nazar Meredov, the Center’s coordinator and a lecturer at the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute, conducted the seminar, organized for students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations.
The primary objective of the seminar was to provide an in-depth analysis of the impact of high-level meetings on regional stability and the development of multilateral partnerships. During the discussion, participants examined detailed steps toward expanding cooperation in strategic sectors such as energy and ecology, the digital economy, science, and education.
Future specialists showed particular interest in the segment dedicated to the analysis of the economic potential of regional states. Nazar Meredov presented a comprehensive overview of the key activities of the foreign ministries of regional nations in the new geopolitical era, focusing on the current agenda regarding collective security and foreign trade.
The seminar was held in an open discussion format. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed expert insights, allowing them to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical examples from the contemporary international agenda.
Hosting such events at the Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan supports the professional development of students. It fosters the skills necessary for future international relations specialists to analyze complex geo-economics processes.
