CENTRAL ASIA: BECOMING A NEW CENTER OF SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
On December 3, 2025, a scientific-practical conference entitled «Cooperation of Central Asian States on the Path to Sustainable Economic Development» was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality.
During the plenary session, presentations were delivered by:
A.Haljanov, Head of the Department International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan;
Y.Yarashov, Head of the Department of Cooperation with the WTO of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan;
B.Berdiyew, Head of the Department for Studying Commodity Turnover in External Markets at the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan;
B.Amansaryyev, Senior Researcher at the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan;
G.Shyhlyyev, Head of the Technical Support Department of the Information Systems Directorate of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The conference featured numerous speeches delivered during major events held this year with the participation of the Honorable President, including the first «Central Asia – European Union» Summit, the first «Central Asia – Italy» Summit, the second «Central Asia – China» Summit, the second «Central Asia – Russia» Summit, the «Central Asia – United States of America» format Summit, as well as the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. These speeches highlighted the current significance and impact of peace, security, and sustainable economic development.
After the plenary session, speeches continued within the thematic section entitled «Youth in Central Asia – a Driving Force of Development». Presentations were delivered by the fifth-year students who completed their industrial internships between September and November of this year at the Embassies of Turkmenistan in Central Asian capitals (Astana, Tashkent, Dushanbe, and Bishkek).
At the conclusion of the scientific-practical conference, the participants expressed their profound gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the extensive opportunities created to educate knowledgeable, capable, enthusiastic, and technologically proficient young people.
