Presentation of a book of the new collection works of Magtymguly Fragi
On May 21, 2024, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was held a presentation ceremony of the book “Magtymguly” — a collection of selected works of the great poet — prepared by the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The representatives of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, teachers and students of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly , as well as our higher educational institution attended the presentation ceremony.
The speeches emphasized the importance of the collection, published in the form of separate books in Turkmen, Russian and English. It was noted that our respected President and National Leader of Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, pay great attention to study the rich cultural heritage of the great thinker, and widely promoting his invaluable creativity in the world.
By the way, the construction of a huge statue of Magtymguly Fragi in the foothills of Kopetdag clearly confirms that the great poet is highly valued, and his life and creative heritage are an example for current and future generations.
Announcement of 2024 by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) as the year of the “Great poet and thinker of the Turkic world Magtymguly Fragi", the inclusion of Magtymguly’s manuscripts in the international list of the UNESCO World Heritage program, the inclusion of the 300th anniversary of the poet’s birth in the list of significant dates celebrated jointly with UNESCO is clear evidence that the work of our classic poet is recognized internationally.
