Lecture in French language for students of diplomacy
A lecture for the students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held on May 1, 2024. The lecture in French was delivered by Assistant Professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, holder of the distinctive award “Skilled Diplomat of Turkmenistan” Chary Niyazov.
The purpose of the lecture was to increase students’ level of knowledge in various areas of diplomatic activity, awareness of preventive diplomacy, negotiation skills and interest in learning French as one of the official languages of the United Nations.
During the lecture, special attention was paid to the peculiarities of foreign policy, the intricacies of the diplomatic service and the role of France in international relations and the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France.
At the end of the lecture, students were given the opportunity to ask questions to which they received comprehensive answers. Such meetings are helping to instill in students a close affinity to their chosen profession.
