LECTURE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF TURKMENISTAN'S PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNITED NATIONS
On March 3, 2025, a lecture dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the topic "Cooperation for Sustainable Development" within the framework of the "Development of Partnership with the United Nations", which was conducted by Partnerships Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s office in Turkmenistan Maksat Keshiyev.
Faculty members and students of our institute attended the lecture. In his speech, the lecturer spoke in detail about the key areas of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN and other international organizations. Turkmenistan, being a responsible member of the international community and relying on its legal status of neutrality, promotes the philosophy of trusting dialogue in international relations and firmly adheres to the principle of "Dialogue is a guarantee of peace".
Particular attention was paid to Turkmenistan's contribution to the implementation of UN programs and initiatives, including the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the country's active participation in international efforts on security, energy and transport. The lecturer noted the importance of Turkmenistan's diplomatic initiatives in promoting multilateral dialogue.
The lecture created interest among students, who actively asked questions and shared their views on the prospects for global cooperation.
Holding such events helps to gain in-depth knowledge of international processes and motivates young people to participate in solving global problems.
