ART COMPETITION (ESSAY) "ROLE OF DIPLOMACY IN THE 21st CENTURY"
REGULATIONS
on the competition of articles "The role of diplomacy in the XXI century",
held in Russian, among students of higher educational institutions of the country
1. General Provisions
1.1. These Regulations determine the goals, objectives and procedure for holding the competition of creative works (essays) "The Role of Diplomacy in the 21st Century" (hereinafter referred to as the Competition), the requirements for its participants and for the competition works provided by them.
1.2. Information about the Competition will be distributed through the official website of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan ( https://www.iirmfa.edu.tm ).
2. Goals of the Essay Competition:
– development of international youth cooperation ;
- development of the creative potential of students, increasing the motivation of students to study the Russian language; - development of students' writing skills in Russian;
- promotion of the philosophy of dialogue as a tool for building bridges and establishing links between countries in maintaining and strengthening peace at the global level;
– strengthening in the minds of young people the traditions of peaceful and trusting coexistence of the peoples of the world, a culture of trust and respectful dialogue 3. Tasks of the Essay Competition: – to identify talented and capable young people, development of their creative potential;
– implementation of interaction between higher educational institutions of the country in the field of education
4. Participants of the competition
4.1. Students of domestic universities are invited to participate in the Competition .
4.2. Participation in the Competition is individual.
4.3. In addition to the competitive work, the participant must attach brief information about himself: full name, university (faculty, course), contact information (phone number, e-mail address) and no later than June 1, 2023 send to the email address of the Competition: hgi.ddk23@ gmail.com
5. Competition organizers
5.1. The competition is held by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer).
5.2. To conduct the Competition, an organizing committee and the jury of the Competition are created.
5.3. The composition of the jury is determined by the Organizing Committee of the Contest.
5.4. The decision of the Jury is final and not subject to revision. 6. Thematic areas of the Competition :
• "Dialogue is a guarantee of peace" - a new philosophy of international relations
• The role of a foreign language in intercultural communication
• Dialogue of cultures and UNESCO
• Cultural diplomacy - the language of interethnic dialogue The participant of the Competition formulates the topic of the competitive work independently within the framework of the thematic direction chosen by him.
7. Requirements for the performance of competitive works
7.1. The language of the Competition is Russian.
7.2. Each participant has the right to submit only one work to the Competition.
7.3. Article evaluation criteria:
-the presence of spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors;
-correspondence of the work to the topic, the presence and disclosure of the main idea of the statement;
-the correctness of the factual material;
-consistency and consistency of presentation;
-correct compositional design of the work;
-richness (variety) of vocabulary and grammatical structure of speech;
-the correctness and appropriateness of the use of language means.
7.4. Each criterion is evaluated on a 5-point scale.
7.5. At the stage of selecting the winners of the Competition, the criterion “General reader's perception of the text of the article ” is added - an additional point (at the discretion of the jury ).
7.6 . Requirements for the design of the competitive essay
Volume - up to 2 pages.
Format - Microsoft Word, font - Times New Roman, size - 14 pt, line spacing - 1.5, alignment - in width, all margins - 2 cm.
You must distinguish between hyphens (-) and dashes ( – ) and do not use one instead of the other.
7.7. If the work of the contestant is not framed in accordance with the above criteria, the jury has the right not to allow the work to participate in the Competition.
8. Terms and stages of the Competition
8.1. The competition is held in absentia and takes place in one stage.
8.2. The following procedure and deadlines for the Competition are established:
• from May 3 to June 1 (inclusive), 2023 - acceptance of works;
• from June 2 to June 11, 2023 – the work of the Contest jury to identify the winners and prize-winners of the Contest;
• from June 2 to June 12, 2023 – announcement of results
8.3. Late submissions and entries will not be considered.
9. Summing up and awarding the participants of the Competition
9.1. The winners of the Contest are the participants whose works, according to the results of consideration and evaluation by the Jury, received the most points, and thus were recognized as the best. 1 winner (Grand Prix) and 3 prize-winners (I, II, III places) are determined.
9.2 . Winners and prize-winners are awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts from the Organizer.
9.3. Announcement of the results and awarding of the winners of the Contest will take place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
