The marathon consisted of two stages. In the preliminary round, 210 participants were selected from among 426 contestants. On October 24, among those 210 participants who passed the preliminary stage, 71 book enthusiasts achieved victory, concluding the event with an award ceremony for the winners. Distinguished participants were declared winners of the competition. They were presented with Certificates of Honor and souvenirs from our institute.
With the aim of developing the habit of reading among young people, the “Book Marathon” selected as its main reading material the book “Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Neutrality” written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag. This choice greatly contributed to strengthening young people’s interest in Turkmenistan’s developing international prestige as a land of peace and friendship under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, and to nurturing patriotic and humanistic feelings. During the marathon, participants were asked daily questions, engaged in mutual discussions about the book, and took part in various interesting activities. All these efforts played an important role in fostering a culture of reading among the happy youth.
Participants of the “Book Marathon” expressed their deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and to our esteemed President, Hero Arkadagly Serdar, for creating such favorable opportunities for the young generation of our country to read, learn, create, and demonstrate their talents.
