International Conference “Current State and Prospects for the Development of Scientific Cooperation between Italy and Central Asia”
On December 8, 2021, an international conference entitled “The Current State and Prospects for the Development of Scientific Cooperation between Italy and Central Asia” was held in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended and addressed by the Heads of Foreign Ministries of the Italian Republic and the Central Asian States, the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia. The rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan also attended the high-level meeting.
A roundtable discussion on the development of cooperation in the preservation of cultural heritage in interstate relations between Central Asian states and Italy was also held in accordance with the agenda of the conference. During the event, the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ph.D., Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev made a speech on the topic “Historical ties in Turkmen-Italian relations”, emphasizing that the two countries have made a significant contribution to human development by being the center of ancient civilizations.
In his speech, the rector of the National School of Diplomacy emphasized that in his book by our esteemed President “Culture is the heart of the people”, the deep cultural heritage and spiritual values of the Turkmen people were given a deep scientific understanding.
