STUDENTS OF OUR INSTITUTE WIN PRIZES AT INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SECURITY OLYMPIAD
Students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan achieved notable success at the final round of the VI International Olympiad on Financial Security, securing top prizes in both International Relations and Economics.
Held from September 27 to October 2, 2026, at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation, the Olympiad brought together approximately 700 school and university students from over 40 countries. This year’s event focused on the opportunities and risks associated with applying artificial intelligence technologies within financial security.
Ten students representing seven higher education institutions in Turkmenistan competed across four key disciplines: International Relations, Law, Economics, and Information Security. In total, the Turkmen delegation secured two overall wins and six prize places. Among the awardees were Institute of International Relations students Sahydowlet Hummetjumayev in International relations and Dawut Gezerov in Economics.
These achievements highlight the success of Turkmenistan’s national educational modernization initiatives and cybersecurity preparation under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Coming during the year themed “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses", the victory serves as a proud tribute to the upcoming 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s sacred independence.
Beyond the academic competition, Turkmen participants engaged with foreign peers, shared insights on the digital economy, and highlighted Turkmenistan’s peace-loving foreign policy and international contributions.
