INTRODUCTORY SEMINAR ON THE HORIZON EUROPE PROGRAMME WAS HELD
On February 10, 2026, an introductory training seminar dedicated to the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme was held at the International University for the Humanities and Development. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and higher education institutions. The seminar was conducted by Kseniya Savchenko, Coordinator for Global Services at the European Commission.
During the seminar, Kseniya Savchenko provided a detailed overview of the structure of the Horizon Europe programme, the definition of relevant funding and thematic areas, the Funding & Tenders Portal, as well as specific Horizon Europe calls open to researchers from Central Asian countries.
In addition, within the framework of the seminar, Elżbieta Pietrzykowska, a representative of the National Contact Point of Poland for Horizon Europe Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry and Space), delivered an online presentation. In her presentation, she highlighted issues related to international cooperation, advisory services for organizations interested in participating in Horizon Europe, as well as the organization of networking events, information days, and webinars.
Furthermore, presentations were delivered by Gülnabat Gurdova, Coordinator of the National Contact Point of Turkmenistan for the Horizon Europe programme, and Guncha Seyilbayeva, Responsible Officer for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants had the opportunity to ask questions of interest.
