Meeting with the Ambassador of India
On April 24, 2023 a meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Vidhu Peethambaran Nair. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Embassy of India Republic in Turkmenistan, as well as, lecturers and students of the institute. It should be noted that the meeting was dedicated to coincide with the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. As it is known, on April 20, 1992 a new era began in the thousand-year history of Turkmen-Indian relations. Speaking at the meeting the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India Republic to Turkmenistan stressed that the historical roots of the Turkmen-Indian relations go back to ancient times and the two nations are united by cultural ties and fundamental spiritual values. As the speakers pointed out, the names of famous historical personalities such as Bayram Khan , Abdirakhim Khan the legacy of the great Indian culture in Turkmenistan all these were written in golden letters in the year of bilateral relations. Today, this wonderful heritage is enriched with new meaning. During the meeting, representatives of the Embassy of India Republic to Turkmenistan handed over books to the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. At the and of the meeting the performance of the song in Hindi by the students of the institute added to the effectiveness of the meeting.
