SCIENTIFIC AND CREATIVE CONFERENCE WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF AN EXPERIENCED MENTOR
On May 21, 2026, the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in cooperation with the «Young Lawyers» scientific club of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law, organized a scientific and creative conference titled «The Legal Status of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality: A Guarantor of Ensuring International Peace and Trust».
The keynote speaker at the event was Rejepmyrat Bekiev, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Social Sciences at the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University. Undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of International Law at the IIR MFA of Turkmenistan attended the conference.
In his address, the experienced educator and mentor thoroughly highlighted the following key aspects: the formation and modernization of the legal system of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan during the era of our Motherland’s progressive development, the improvement of national legislation and the legal foundations of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, modern reforms aimed at aligning the national legal system with the demands of the times and the universally recognized norms of international law.
This scientific and creative conference opens up broad opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students to deepen their knowledge. It contributes to studying the significance of international cooperation in improving the country’s legislative base in accordance with the principles and norms of international law.
