INTERNATIONAL LAW IN THE NEW SYSTEM OF INTERNET COMMUNICATIONS
Today, on 20 April, a round table on "Current Issues of International Law in the New System of Internet Communications: Theory and Practice", organized by the Faculty of Law of Astrakhan State University, was held. The distance-learning event was attended by postgraduate, masters and undergraduate research students.
The event featured presentations on international information security, threat assessment, the "fake" information phenomenon, as well as discussions on new Internet communication technologies in the work of international organizations and the challenges of bridging the digital divide.
Speakers highlighted the importance of the 2019 Turkmenistan Law "On Cybersecurity", which defines the procedure and specifics for securing information infrastructure in strategically important sectors.
The participants of the round table exchanged views on topical issues of legal regulation and the use of the information space. The development of international cooperation mechanisms was widely discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the roundtable participants expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for pursuing a policy of peace and friendship in international relations.
