A WEBINAR ON THE TOPIC “PUBLIC DIPLOMACY” WAS HELD
On May 2, 2025, in accordance with the Concept for the
continuation of Turkmenistan’s activities and directions in the
International year of Peace and Trust, a webinar was held via digital
platform at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This event marked the 30th anniversary
of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the proclamation by the
United Nations General Assembly of 2025 as the “International Year of
Peace and Trust”.
At the event, Kakajan Mommadov, senior lecturer at the
Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, and an
experienced Turkmen diplomat made a presentation on “Public
Diplomacy”. The experienced diplomat shared the role of public
diplomacy and unique aspects within the field.
The online webinar was attended by professors, teaching staff and
students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of
the country. Young messengers and volunteers also actively participated
in the session. This training session helped the students enhance and
deepen their skills in the field of diplomacy and also various other sectors
of the country.
