An online conference on the impact of global warming on Central Asia
On November 17, 2022, an online conference was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the impact of global warming on Central Asia. In this online conference took part A. Nematov, Deputy Director of Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies (ISRS), representative of the German side, representative of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection, representative of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies, representative of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representative of the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the International Institute of Central Asia (Uzbekistan) and speakers on the topic: “The impact of climate change on Central Asia: challenges and threats to the sustainable development of the region”. Further, a representative of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (Uzbekistan), a representative of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a representative of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part on the topic “Prospects for regional and International Cooperation to Overcome the Negative Consequences of Climate Change in Central Asia”.
