ACADEMIC AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE GAINED IN GERMANY
In today's modern world, it is of great importance for young people to enter the international scientific and educational space, master foreign languages fluently, and build bridges of intercultural friendship. As a student at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, I had the privilege of winning the "Hochschulsommerkurse" scholarship program of the renowned German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and undergoing an advanced B2-level summer German language internship at the Goethe-Institut in Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany. This international project brought together youth from various corners of the world, offering a great opportunity to develop language skills at academic and diplomatic levels.
During the one-month intensive study course, training was not limited to standard grammar or everyday conversational language, significant emphasis was placed on crucial areas such as academic writing culture and expressing thoughts coherently and deeply. Under the guidance of experienced German teachers, the classes provided an in-depth study of Germany's socio-political structure, economic achievements, cultural heritage, and its role in international relations. Conducting the classes entirely in an immersive German-speaking environment ensured that the learning process was highly natural, fast, and effective.
Extracurricular cultural and public events further enriched the content of the program. Excursions to historical landmarks, museums, and neighboring cultural centers provided an opportunity to closely experience the daily life and rich history of the German people. Being in an environment with future specialists from dozens of countries around the world and engaging in discussions laid the foundation for new international friendships and extended our horizons.
This valuable practical experience gained in the city of Bonn will serve as an important milestone in our future professional and scientific endeavors. The broad opportunities created for youth to receive world-class education, improve their skills, and showcase themselves on the international stage are clear proof of the steadily rising prestige of our country's higher education system.
